Solution:
if a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle intersecting the other two sides, then it divides the two sides in the same ratio. ( BPT , Thales Theorem )
=> PM/MQ = PN/NR
PM=3cm ,
MQ=4cm,
PN=6cm,
NR = PR - PN = x - 6 cm
3/4 = 6/(x - 6)
=> 3x - 18 = 24
=> 3x = 42
=> x = 14 cm
Option d is correct.
