For the cuboid;

length, l = 15 cm

breadth, b = 6 cm

height, h = 2 cm

TSA(cuboid)

= 2(lb + bh + lh)

= 2(15x6 + 6x2 + 15x2)

= 2(90 + 12 + 30)

= 2(132)

= 264 cm² ... (i)

For the cube;

edge, a = 4 cm

TSA(cube)

= 6a²

= 6(4)²

= 6(16)

= 96 cm² ... (ii)

On comparing (i) and (ii)

TSA(cuboid) > TSA(cube)

Surface area of the cuboid is greater by

(264 - 96) cm²

= 168 cm²

Hence, surface area of cuboid is greater than that of cube and by 168 cm².
