∠AXB = ∠AZD = 90°  ( angle of square)  (∠AXB = 180 - ∠AXY)

∠ZAD = 90° - ∠DAX

∠BAX = 90° - ∠DAX

=> ∠ZAD = ∠BAX

if two angle of triangles are equal than third angle also be equal

ΔADZ  = ΔABX

AD/AB = BX/DZ = AX/AZ

AD = AB  ( sides of square)

AX = AZ (sides of square)

=> BX = DZ

DZ = DY +  YZ

=> DZ = 3 + 2   ( YZ = AZ = 2 cm, side of square)

=> DZ = 5 cm

BY = BX + XY

=> BY = DZ + XY
