Answer:

x + 45° = 90° (property of rectangle)

x = 90°- 45°

x = 45°

so angle A = 90°

angle A = angle D

angle D = 90°

so angle

x =45°

y =90°

Answer:

Now we know that x and 45 degrees are complementary angles as all angles are 90 degrees in rectangle

Thus

X+45=90

X=90-45

X=45 degrees

See u have not sent the whole figure properly but I hope u know what are interior opp angles

Now all opposite sides of rectangle are parallel

The angle that is interior opposite to angle 45 degrees will be 45 degrees which is on same side of x

This is because when a transversal cuts two parralel lines then interior opposite angles are equal

X=45 degrees

Angle on same side of X =45 degrees (proved on top)

Y=?

Thus using angle sum property of triangle where sum of all angles is equal to 180 degrees

45+45+y=180 degrees

Y=180-90

Thus y=90 degrees

OR

Directly u can say y as 90 degrees because all angles of rectangle are 90 degrees

This was only for better understanding
