The trustworthiness of the Indian voting system is really questionable .Getting to the root of the matter is there are so many malpractices. That occur in the elections either noticed or noticed.

1. EVM  is just a voter management system .Voting which is the bone of contention has not been made electronic.Electronic voting will see many malpractices done away with in the shortest time possible .

2.The election officials should be screened of  their competency and whether they can be entrusted with peoples votes .

3.The people themselves contribute hugely to election malpractices  .People have been caught or gone unnoticed trying to push fake votes into the ballot boxes .Imagine a person stealing from himself ...

EVM: Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) are used by the election commission of India for recording, storing and counting of votes in a transparent and secure manner.

Challenges to ensure trustworthiness of elections:

  • Every citizen of India has only one vote.
  • The selection of votes in the EVM should be proper.
  • The votes should be counted and the correct number should be resulted.
