In "The Literature of the Americas" Kimberly Koza writes: "By discovering the literature of our neighbors we may also learn about ourselves" Keeping this quote in mind, respond to the question. Choose a selection to this unit, and write a paragraph that explains how Koza's statement applies to the theme of the selection. Include at least two supporting details or examples. I have chosen the selection "No Dogs Bark" by Juan Rulfo. I am not asking for someone to give me the whole essay answer, but I am asking for someone to please explain to me because I don't understand. The question says "write a paragraph that explains how Koza's statement applies to the theme of the story (No Dogs Bark). I don't understand how the theme does apply to this statement, so could anyone tell me how it does?

The statement from “The Literature of the Americans”, by discovering the literature of our neighbors we may also learn about ourselves applies to the theme of the story ‘No Dog Barks’ because in this story both the father and the son learn from each other.
Here, the theme is love as well as the father misses his son and they both try to find his mother at the place where her dogs are barking.
