In the Merchant of Venice how can it be easy for Antonio to shed his sadness and be cheerful?

In that scene, Antonio is very much upset as his best friend Bassanio leaves to Belmont to visit Portia and win the challenge there.

As a friend, Antonio don't want to show his sadness to Bassanio so he hugs Bassanio and shed tears without showing him.
