Yes Antonio is in a melancholic mood and their is three reason for his melancholic mood
Firstly, continuous least bothered about the beconquest of his action , Secondary, antonio's melancholy creates a trafic atmosphere, Thirdly , antonio's melancholy create a senses of mystery for them audience and because of his melancholic mood Salarino say Antonio that he is sad because his mind is preoccupied with his ship filled with carbo which is out at sea
