area of sq=S^2

area rectangle = (l*b)

perimeter of sq =4(8)=32

and of rectangle=2(l+b)

L+B=16       now divide by 2

L+B/2=8    square on both side    8^2=area of sq=S^2

128=L+B+2LB     L+B=16

112=2LB

LB=56

area rectangle = 56cm.
