In the periodic table about 80% of elements are metals. Why ?

bcoz maximum no. of elements have the capability to loose electrons and metals have weak nuclear force i.e. it keeps electrons less attracted towards the nucleus thus electrons loose atom's shell easily n maximum no. of elements in the periodic table follow this property.
and those elements which cant loose electrons are called non metals they have strong nuclear forces .
and those elements which show properties of both metals as well non metals are called metalloids
