- Atomic radii increases due to addition of quantum shells
- Ionization enthalpy decreases due to increase in atomic size
- Electron gain enthalpy becomes less negative with exception of Flourine being less negative than chlorine due to small size
- Electronegativity decreases
- Oxidizing ability in aq solution decreases
