In the poem the poet narrates the glorious past of India,before the Britishers came.
India was called a golden eagle due to its rich art,culture,art and agriculture .
All the glory was destroyed due to Britishers.
The poet in the poem wants a reconstructed India which it was before the rule of Britishers.
