In the poem the nine gold medals the runners turned back to help the one who was fallen down bcoz all of them were strenuously practising for months to run and win the medals and make their respective countries proud. But when one of the participants fells down the concept that sharing and caring has more importance than winning arouses in each one's heart. Their heart is filled up with sympathy when they see that of the contestant falls down and they lift him up ,form a group locking each others hand and proceed together to the finishing line remembering that sports doesn't mean only to win medals but also about learning human values.
