why is camel called the ship of the desert


sehaj45: because it has large hump which can store large amount of water
sehaj45: large pedded feet which enables to walk on sand
sehaj45: its skin prevents camel from heat
sehaj45: it has long legs which keep it at suitable height and keep away from heat
sehaj45: it has long eyelashes which prevent sand from entering eyes
sehaj45: it can survive without water and food for many days

Camel is called the ship of the Desert because he can walk on the burning sand easily. He can live without food and water in the desert for many days.

camel are called the ship of desert because of their large feet which helps them to walk on sand as sand are loose particles and if small face like other animals and stiff and long feet like human exert more pressure and the person or animal may drown in the sand. also that Camels can store water into the huge humps which other animals cannot this help them to survive. hope it might help you....
