In the process of transpiration, water which is present in between the soil particles is absorbed by the root hair and reaches to the xylem vessel. From here it is transported in the upward direction and reaches to the highest point of the plant. This process is known as Transpiration and the process of transpiration is known as "ASCENT OF SAP". Then the water reaches to the leaves and is utilized and then is evaporatoed outside the leaves through the 'stomata' of the leaves.
