in the solvolysis of 3-methyl-3-bromohexane ,it forms a carbocation ,hence it is sp2 C
,in polar solvent reaction is faster ,here racemisation takes place because nucleophile can attack both side.here no inversion of configuration.
hence option (d) is correct
