Answer:

♡Franz has been depicted by the writer as the typical young Lad who is difficult to be tamed. Discipline is a hallmark of school life which is naturally resisted by the vibrant boy like Franz. Similarly, young children are fully energy and passive school work is dislike by them. They are attracted more and more by outdoor activity and hence we do relate to Franz habit of invading school work.

♡However his sincerity cannot be doubted. The sense of pain that experience at the thought of losing his teacher and his mother tongue is absolutely authentic. He may have been casual towards study but does not mean he failed to appreciate its worth. When Franz awakens to his duty towards learning he is a reformed boy who inspires us.
