In the the adjoining figure triangle ABC is similar to triangle QPR then find the value of x
A. 2.25 CM
B. 4 cm
C. 4.5 CM
D. 5.25 CM​

see here triangle ABC is similar to triangle QPR so, see here QR is half of AB so , BC will similar to RP so , BC/2= RP so 4.5cm / 2 = 2.25 cm.....

Solution :-

given that ,

→ ∆ABC ~ ∆QPR

So,

→ AB/QP = BC/PR = AC/QR { When two ∆'s are similar , their corresponding sides are in same ratio . }

putting given values we get,

→ 4.5/x = 6/3

→ 4.5/x = 2/1

→ 2x = 4.5

→ x = 2.25 cm (Ans.) (A)

Hence, the value of x is equal to 2.25 cm .
