In the translation of the German bard 'Knuprebyc, 7702 street' why does the author say "You're breathtaking. You all are breathtaking" in the end?

The said poem is a satire. Everyone was with the author Reaves when he finally achieved success but it was in fact all a play by him to show the people what they really are. They called him a madman when he was looking for his dog. He said the infamous line as a sarcastic comment before he killed himself.
