The parent cell simply divides to formtwo daughter cells that are identical to the parent. Asexual reproduction produces offspring that are geneticallyidentical to the parent, whereas sexual reproduction produces a similar, but genetically unique offspring. It's called fragmentation form of asexual reproduction wherein a parent organism breaks into fragments, each capable of growing independently into a new organism.
