PQ is parallel to BC
therefore by Basic proportionality theorem
AP/PB=AQ/QC
let AQ be x
therefore QC is 17.5-x
therefore
3/4=x/(17.5-x)
3(17.5-x)=4x
52.5-3x =4x
7x=52.5
x=AQ=7.5
