in triangle ABC, AB=12cm, BC=15cm and AC=7cm. Find the perimeter of the triangle formed by joining the midpoints of the sides of the triangle. pls answer very urgent.....tomorrow I have test.

you can find the perimeter by adding all the sides.

15+7+ 12= 34cm

Answer:

Let midpoints of AB , BC and CA are P , Q and R respectively. Acordingly to

mid points theorem:-

PQ = AC/2 = 7/2= 3.5 cm……….(1)

QR = AB/2= 12/2=6 cm…………(2)

RP= BC/2=15/2=7.5 cm…………..(3)

Perimeter of ∆PQR= (3.5+6+7.5) cm = 17 cm. Answer.
