∠A is 52.5⁰ and ∠B is 52.5⁰

Given

In ΔABC

  • AB= AC
  • ∠C= 75⁰

To Find

∠A and ∠B

Solution

In ΔABC

AB = AC

=> ΔABC is an isosceles triangle

Now, in an isosceles triangle,

the base angles i.e ∠A and ∠B are equal.

According to the angle summation property,

Sum of angles = 180⁰

=> ∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180⁰

or, 2∠A + 75⁰ = 180⁰               [∠A = ∠B and ∠C= 75⁰]

or, 2∠A  = 180⁰ - 75⁰

or, ∠A  = (105/2)⁰

or, ∠A  = 52.5⁰

Hence ∠A = ∠B = 52.5⁰
