In triangle ABC, AD is a median. If the area of ABD is 15 cm sq.
then find the an (ABC).

Given : AD is a median of ∆ABC and ar(ABD) is 15cm.

To Find : the ar(ABC)

Proof :-

ar(ABD) = 15cm

ar(ADC) =15cm

( Bcoz the median of a triangle divide it into two equal areas).

ar(ABC) = ar(ABD) + ar(ADC)

ar(ABC) = 15cm + 15cm = 30cm✔

Then the ar(ABC) is 30cm...

Area Of ABD = 15 cm²

Area Of ACD = 15 cm²

To Find =>

Area Of Triangle ABC = ?

Here ,

Area Of ABC = Area Of ABD + Area Of ACD

Area Of ABC = 15 + 15

Area Of ABC = 30 cm
