in triangle ABC and DEF it is being given that AB = 5 cm and BC = 4 cm and AC = 4.2 cm , DE = 10 cm , EF = 8 cm ,DF = 8.4 cm. If AL perpendicular BC and DM perpendicular EF , find AL:DM ???? ​

Now,

DE/AB=10/5=2/1=2

EF/BC=8/4=2/1=2

FD/CA=8.4/4.2=2/1=2

Since,

DE/AB=EF/BC=FD/CA

Thus. △ABC∼△DEF ....... (SSS rule)

Now, in similar triangles the altitudes are in the ratio of corresponding sides.

DM/AL=DE/AB=1/2

.: AL/DM=1/2
