In ∆ABC, angle A = 90°

To find,

The longest side of the ∆ABC

Solution,

∆ABC is surely a right angled triangle, and in any right angled triangle, the hypotenuse is the longest side. ( Property used : Opposite side of the largest angle is the largest side of a triangle and 90° is the largest angle of a right angled triangle.)

Now, hypotenuse is the opposite side of the right angle.

In ∆ABC the opposite angle of the right angle is BC.

So, hypotenuse or the longest side will be BC.

Hence, the longest side of ABC is BC.
