In triangle abc if de parallel to bc ad/bd=3/5 and ac 4.8 so find ae

solution: -

Using BPT theorm.
we have ,
=>AD/BD = AE/AC

=> 3/5 = x/ (AC - x) [Let, AE=x]

=>5x = 3(4.8 - x)

=>5x = 14.4 - 3x

=>8x= 14.4

=>x= 1.8

so,AE= 1.8 units
