We apply the Pythagoras theorem...
AC² = AB² + BC²
5² = 3² + BC² => BC = 4
s = semi perimeter = (AB+BC+AC) /2 = 6
Area of triangle = √[ s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c) ] = √ [ 6 * 3 * 2 * 1 ] = 6
another formula :
Area of triangle = 1/2 * BM * AC = 5/2 BM
=> BM = 12/5
AC² = AB² + BC²
5² = 3² + BC² => BC = 4
s = semi perimeter = (AB+BC+AC) /2 = 6
Area of triangle = √[ s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c) ] = √ [ 6 * 3 * 2 * 1 ] = 6
another formula :
Area of triangle = 1/2 * BM * AC = 5/2 BM
=> BM = 12/5
