Concept:

Triangle is a 2D shape having three sides and three angles.

Given:

Triangle ABC is right angled at B,

And,

AB = 5 cm and

Sin C = 1/2

Find:

We are asked to find the length of the side AC.

Solution:

We have,

Triangle ABC is right angled at B,

And,

AB = 5 cm and

Sin C = 1/2

i.e.

Sin C = 30°

So,

∠C = 30°

So,

Now, Using the Sine Rule,

i.e.

(AC/Sin90°)  =  (AB/Sin30°)

We get,

AC/1 = 5/(1/2)

Son solving we get,

AC = 5 × 2

i.e.

AC = 10 cm

Hence, the length of the side AC is 10cm.
