In triangle ABC side BC is greater than side AB by 3 but less than AC by 2 perimeter os 53 find gretest side of triangle

let the side AB is x CM.
therefore BC = x + 3 CM.
and, AC = (x + 3) + 2 CM.
perimeter = 53
therefore, x + x + 3 + ( x + 3 ) + 2 = 53
3x + 8 = 53
3x = 53 - 8
3x = 45
x = 45/3
x = 15
therefore AB = x = 15
BC = x + 3 = 15 + 3 = 18
AC = ( x + 3 ) + 2 = ( 15 + 3) + 2 = 18 + 2 = 20
