In triangle ST=5cm QR=9cm the area of larger triangle is 50cm what is the area of shaded reigon

It is given that,  

ST = 5 cm

QR = 9 cm

Area of ∆PQR = 50 cm²

Now, considering ∆SQR, we have

Base, QR = 9 cm

Height, ST = 5 cm

∴ Area of the ∆SQR is,

= ½ * base * height

= ½ * QR * ST

= ½ * 9 * 5

= 22.5 cm²

Thus,

The area of the given shaded region in the attached figure is given by,

= [Area of the larger ∆PQR] – [Area of the smaller ∆SQR]

= 50 cm² – 22.5 cm²

= 27.5 cm²
