In two beakers A and B 50 my water of about 70 degree Celsius it is taken in beaker A, 50 ml of water of about 30 degree Celsius is added after 5 minutes, in beaker B, 50 ml of water of about 30 degree Celsius is added. What would observe if the temperature of both Beakers recorded immediately? Why?

(give proper answer this question is in a 10th class science practical book.)

Both beakers will show the same temperature.

The following shows the process followed here

Beaker A (70 ° C ) - added water ( 30 °C ) provided 5 min interval

Beaker B ( 70 ° C ) - provided 5 min interval - added water ( 30° C )

The initial temperature of water in beaker B (70 °C) is higher than the average temperature in beaker A ( approximately 50°C ) . During the 5 min interval , the rate of temperature fall of water in beaker B will be more than that of the water in beaker A , as the difference in the temperature of water in beaker B and ambience is large . After this interval, the same amount(50 ml) of water having the same temperature ( 30°C) is added in beaker B . So , the temperature of water in beaker B will be same as that of the water in beaker A.
