In two digit number, the digit at the units place is three times the digit at the tens place and the sum of the digit is 8. What is the number?

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the digit at tens place = x

The digit unit place = 3x

Now, sum of digits = 8

Therefore, x+3x =8

4x =8

x =2

Then the original number

= 10 × x + 1× 3x

=10x + 3x

=13x

=13×2=26
