Circumference = 2πr

Circumference covered by the first electron = 2πr

Circumference covered by the second electron = 2π(4r)

                                                                           = 8πr

Assuming the electrons move with the same speed = s

Time taken by first electron = 2πr/s

Time taken by the second electron = 8πr/s

The ratio of the times taken by them to complete one revolution

                                                       = 2
πr/s : 8πr/s

                                                       = 2 : 8

                                                       = 1 : 4

Answer:

Explanation:

Circumference covered by the first electron = 2πr

Circumference covered by the second electron = 2π(4r)

= 8πr

Assuming the electrons move with the same speed = s

Time taken by first electron = 2πr/s

Time taken by the second electron = 8πr/s

The ratio of the times taken by them to complete one revolution

= 2πr/s : 8πr/s

= 2 : 8

= 1 : 4
