in two numbers, the first number is four times the second. Adding 16 to each , the first number will be twice the number of the second. Find the answer? ​

let the numbers be x and 4x

so 2(x+16)=4x+16

or, 2x+32 = 4x+16

or , 2x= 16

or, x = 8

so the numbers are 8 and 32
