Answer:

Amount from Vessel A : Amount from Vessel B  =  7 : 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a be the quantity from vessel A used, and b the quantity from vessel B.

The amount of milk from vessel A is 4a/7 and the amount of water is 3a/7.

The amount of milk from vessel B is 3b/8 and the amount of water from vessel B is 5b/8.

Total milk = total water

=> 4a/7 + 3b/8 = 3a/7 + 5b/8

=> a/7 = 2b/8

=> a/7 = b/4

=> a/b = 7/4

=> a : b = 7 : 4
