The plants make their food by the help of chorophyll +ent in their green parts and CO2 + H2O get converted into sucrose(hexose sugar) which get accumulated or stored in their green parts itself( sometimes they have storage organs  like in potato tubers etc.) but on demand, they transport the food stuff to different growing parts with the help of phloem( vascular tissue).
