oxygen is transported in the blood along with the haemoglobin in the form of oxyhaemoglobin

carbon dioxide travels in the blood mixed with haemoglobin in the form of carbaminohaemoglobin

The blood helps in the transportation of oxygen and carbon-dioxide in humans.


The R.B.Cs have a large surface area which helps them to absorb oxygen and carbon - dioxide on their surface ,


The R.B.Cs have haemoglobin in their surface.

This particularly forms oxy-haemoglobin with oxygen and carbamino-haemoglobin with carbon-dioxide .


This breaks up to give oxygen in the tissues and it transports carbon-dioxide from tissues to lungs.


This way they are transported throughout the body !
