      generally enery enters into the ecosystem from the Sun and exits after the organisms have taken as much as they need. Organisms release energy back into the biosphere as heat. It is usually in the form of heat, not the electromagnetic radiation from the Sun.

Energy enters into the ecosystem through sun and as the trophic level progresses each of the organisms consume energy according to the needs and release rest of it in the form of heat. Thus energy is released in form of heat.
