In what ratio must 25 alcohol be mixed with 50 alcohol to get a mixture of 40 alcohol strength

Equation:

alcohol + alcohol = alcohol

0.25x + 0.60y = 0.40(x+y)

25x + 60y = 40x + 40y

15x = 20y

x:y = 20:15 = 4:3

Amt of 25% is to Amt of 60% as 4 is to 3.
