Principal is Two Times at 12% in some year...

we know That ,

time =  \frac{(times - 1) \times 100}{rate}  \\  \\ time =  \frac{(2 - 1) \times 100}{12}  \\  \\ time =  \frac{25}{3}  \\  \\ time = 8 \times \frac{1}{3}  \\  \\ time = 8years + 4months
