in what way are lice and ticks a nuisance for sheep

Lice and tick both are the blood sucking parasites and live on the skin and hair coat of sheep and other mammals.

Since they suck the blood of sheep and are unable to get rid off they are a nuisance for them.

It is also suspected that some species of ticks cause mortality in sheep as well.
