A gas thermometer is more superior to a mercury thermometer, as it working is independent of the nature of gas used. As the variation of pressure with temperature is uniform, the range, in which temperature can be measured with a gas thermometer is quite larger. So, a gas thermometer is more sensitive than mercury thermometer.So as the temperature increases the uniform of the variation decreases
