ThA Hostile technically means unfavourable conditions. If a place is hostile to humans, it is tough for humans to survive there. Many places in the world can be hostile. War torn countries could be hostile because it is dangerous to live there as war frequently go on, destroying it. Deserts might be hostile because there is no adequate food and water there for humans to survive and the climate is hot. Forest areas can be hostile to humans because many poisonous animals and insects live there, waiting to attack humans. Many different parts of the world are hostile, all in different ways.
