The Fourth Anglo–Mysore War is the right answer.
The Fourth Anglo–Mysore War was fought between Tipu Sultan (the ruler of Mysore) upon the EEIC and the Hyderabad. This battle was the most decisive battle in the series of Anglo-Mysore wars. In this battle, the capital of Mysore was captured by the British leaders. After killing Tipu Sultan the British government held indirect control of Mysore, by placing the Wodeyar Dynasty to the throne of Mysore.
