whenever we touch hot or cold object we withdraw our hands from that object just because of reflex action .

When we touch any object the signal passes through sensory nerve to spinal cord.From here motor nerve brings the message to the muscle of the hand and the hand is instantly removed within a fraction of second from the hot object


Thus when we touch any object which is hot , very cold or if we get shock etc.

then the reflex action occur
