United Nations authorized troops to end the conflict between North Korea and South Korea. It was known as “The Korean War from 1950 to 1953”. North Korea was supported by Russia and South Korea by United States of America. Russia was non-cooperative and it could not use its veto power because it was boycotting the United Nations. America advised to use force to bring North Korea under control and it was accepted. American General Douglas MacArthur led the army. The war ended with a ceasefire at Panmunjon.

Well , the answer of your question is "Korea war " which starts from the 1950 and end in 1953.
The united Nation authorize the troops in this war in order to stop the conflicts in the war . Actually the Russia supports the North Korea on the other hand United States ( America) was supporting the South Korea and because the Russia stood against the United nation so the right of it's veto power was not there.
Also in june 1950 north korea attacked the south korea which was the start of the war.
