India totally lies north of Equator. So it is in the northern hemisphere. Whereas it totally lies to east of the Greenwich line(Prime Meridian),means it is in the eastern hemisphere.So India is located in North-Eastern Hemisphere. The answer will be depends on,how many Hemispheres you are considering. i.e(North & South)or (North, South,East& West) . If you consider only North and South,then answer will be Northern Hemisphere.
