In which of following displacement reaction is possible
A) solution of AgNO3 + coin of copper
B) solution of FeSO4 + coin of silver
C) solution of MgCL2 + coin of aluminium
D) solution of NaCL + Coin of copper

rahulujjwal: in option A andB
rahulujjwal: c and d
rahulujjwal: only in option A displacement reaction. Will take place

A) solution of AgNO₃ and a coin of copper will show displacement reaction as copper is more reactive than silver so copper will displace silver from it's solution

so,

2AgNO₃ + Cu ⇒ Cu(NO₃)₂ + 2Ag

reactivity series

K > Na > Ca > Mg > Zn > Fe > Pb > H > Cu > Ag > Au

Hope it helps

Answer is (A) solution of AgNO3 + coin of cooper

explanation : Because Copper is more reactive than silver.

2AgNO₃ + Cu ⇒ Cu(NO₃)₂ + 2Ag This is the reaction.

As we know this is the reactivity series

Antimony Sb Sb3+

Bismuth Bi Bi3+

Copper Cu Cu2+

Tungsten W W3+

Mercury Hg Hg2+

Silver Ag Ag+

Gold Au Au3+

Platinum Pt Pt4+

SO OPTION(A) IS A CORRECT OPTION
