I think you forget the options.
1) SO3
2) SO2
3) P2O5
4)all of these

the ans will be 1)SO3
as the octate of oxygen is completed but sulphur has 12 electrons in its outermost cell according to Lewis dot structure.

hope it helps.
follow me please

Ashutoshpanda1: sorry
Ashutoshpanda1: but according to me it should be 1)
Noreen1256: Yes answer is all of these ... according to these options
Noreen1256: In so3 s is central atom have its own 6 eletrons in valence shell and form covalent compound with oxygen ... so it's eletron will be greater than 8
Noreen1256: In so2 oxygen form double covalent bond so 6 eletron of sulphur and then 1 oxygen form double covalent bond so it's eletron will be 8 and then other oxygen form bond .... then eletron increases
Noreen1256: And p2o5 also have greater electron
Ashutoshpanda1: hmm
Ashutoshpanda1: ok
Ashutoshpanda1: sorry
Ashutoshpanda1: for my wrong answer
